Appraisals and good news!

Today (Tuesday) we received a call from the local realtor stating that our appraisal (which had been completed the week before) came back at full asking price! YES!!! With no additional improvements needed. Great news! We needed that!

A little land background....(this is happening fast - my days are running together)

My husband talked with the Church board, and asked if we could have more road frontage acres and they own behind our property. My husband and my father went out to the land and staked off approximately where our property would be. The Church agreed this would still be a great deal for both of us.

The soil sampler also came back to the property today (Tuesday), he re-did his soil test on a new piece of land. He says soil is still clay (which we figured) but this is a much better piece of land to build on! The septic system will work just fine.

The surveryor is coming next week sometime, weather permiting to mark out the property.


Now we need to get in contact with the mortgage broker to get pre-approved for a loan. Lets get this process started!

I still have to be mindful that the buyers USDA loan is in limbo waiting for an approval.
